There is more to the clouds than we are aware of. Beings, made of the water vapor battle among the heavens, for supremacy of the skies. The clouds that take the form of horses, majestic stampeding stallions, loyal to the sun, are at a 10, 000 year long standstill to the dragons, icy beasts, led by the moon. Before the sun's horses began to fight the earth was shrouded in darkness, and it is only since their resistance the world has experienced day and night equally. Defeat for either would trigger the collapse of civilization on earth, but so would victory. This story uses incredible imagery to give us a sense of the scale and majesty of the turmoil above. It also cleverly explains how the weather phenomena we see is a byproduct of their warring. This war has been fought for ten thousand years now, and unless the sun and the moon can come to a diplomatic solution, it will be fought until eternity.
