She shrugs off your comment and focuses her attention back on her phone, her fingers moving rapidly across the keyboard. Out of curiosity, you glance over and see the contact name: "Brian <3". Your heart drops. Sure, your marriage hasn't been exceptionally smooth, but it feels like she isn't willing to give you a chance. Or, at least, another chance, from her perspective, probably. Soulmates, your ass. You wonder if you should ask her about her companion or stay silent.
