Mother always told say to give a good greeting so Little Red Riding Hood waved to the wolf. The wolf grinned a great grin came up to the edge of the path. "Hello Mr. Wolf” she said cheerfully making sure to put on her best smile, well her second-best smile; she is saving her best for grandmother and it just wouldn't be right to use it up on someone else. "Good morning little girl" the wolf spoke. "good morning to you Mr. Wolf." "Why it's so early. Where are you going?" "I'm going to grandmother's house. She lives in the woods, all alone. She is sick and weak so I'm bringing her some cake and wine to make her strong again." Little Red Riding Hood looked around and then whispered "I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but wine makes grandmother so strong she can lift up a whole table even if I'm standing on it!" The wolf thought to himself, "Now this sweet little thing looks delicious, but her grandmother sounds like she might be a good meal as well. If I play this right, I can get both of them" "Where does your grandmother live?" the wolf asked as he slid up beside Little Red Riding Hood. "Mr. Wolf you must have seen her house before. She lives in a big red house under three large oak trees next to some hazel bushes about 15 minutes away." said Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf and Little Red Riding Hood walked along the path together for a while when suddenly the wolf said "Little Red! Look at those beautiful flowers just over there. Why don't you go take a look? And... Do you hear that? The birds, oh, how beautifully the birds are singing. Maybe you should rest here for a while and pick some flower for your grandmother. What do you say?"
